Indian cricater Shikhar Dhawan now officialy seprated from his wife ayesha.

In a Delhi family court on Wednesday, October 4, granted divorce to cricketer Shikhar Dhawan from Ayesha Mukherjee. The court accepted that Ayesha subjected Shikhar to mental cruelty.

Shikhar married Ayesha Mukherjee on 30 October 2012. She hails from Australia and was born in India. She is 10 years older than Shikhar and is divorced from her previous marriage and has two daughters from her first husband. Shikhar and Ayesha also have a son.

The court also considered this as mental harassment of Dhawan. The allegation against Ayesha Dhawan of sending derogatory messages to the members of the Board of Control for Cricket in India and fellow players was also found to be true.

In his petition, Dhawan claimed that his wife had promised to come to India from Australia to live with him. Due to his career as a national level cricketer, he was unable to go to Australia. However, Mukherjee later refused to go to India, saying that doing so would force her to give up the custody of her two daughters to her former husband.
